This Radiomir Ceramica uses an in-house, Swiss-made Hand Wind movement that uses the Panerai Calibre OP X engine. Featuring 17 jewels, this movement has a power reserve of 56 hours and keeps the time with precision.
The Good
This simple ceramic Radiomir has many different positive aspects that make this model an instant hit.
First, is the black matte ceramic material of the 45mm cushion case and the fixed bezel. This Panerai does an amazing job in its design of a solid and high quality case that is different than most other luxury timepieces. While most other manufacturers would opt for stainless steel at this price, this Radiomir has made a Ceramica line to suit the desires of those who love this material.
The dial itself is beautiful and features a unique color called “Black Paris Hobnails.” Underneath the scratch resistant Sapphire crystal, this dial looks outstanding in the sunlight and the moonlight. If you find yourself seeking the time in the dark, the luminous dial hands and the hour indexes are filled with Panerai’s famous luminous material that is both attractive and bright.
You can wear this timepiece around water if you like because with this solid back, screw-in crown, and tight construction, its water resistance is 100 meters / 330 feet. However, if you wish to swim with this timepiece, you should purchase an extra strap, because the band that this Radiomir comes with is too gorgeous to get wet.
The strap is made from black calf assolutamente and looks both black and grey in different lights. This may be a more rugged and casual strap but it suits this model and gives it the class and strength that it commands.
The Bad
Despite having many of the calling cards of the typical Panerai design, it is unfortunate that there is no calendar date window or other features to this timepiece. For the price, this Radiomir Ceramica does have excellent quality construction and components, but besides the hour and minute, this piece does not have a huge range in timekeeping. It would be, for all intents and purposes, a statement piece that you can tell the hour and minute with.
Functionality
Despite its simplicity, for the features it does contain, this Paneri functions perfectly as expected. The Panerai Calibre OP X does its job well and keeps time with precision and offers a nice 56 hour power reserve time.
The luminous fill that Panerai is known for is attractive and effective. It fills the hour dial, minute dial, and the hour indexes.
Because the crystal is quality scratch resistant Sapphire and the ceramic case has a solid backing, the water resistance of this piece is impressive at 100 meters / 330 feet. This is a nicely sealed timepiece that you won’t have to be concerned about around the water.
The Highlights
Right off the bat, one of the best features of this timepiece is unique strap. Made from black calf assolutamente, this strap looks grey at most angles and gives this Radiomir a more rugged and casual look while retaining its luxury.
The water resistance is an incredible 100 meters (330 feet), which is a huge plus in a traditional luxury timepiece like this Radiomir, which was not designed or advertised as a sports watch.

The Panerai Radiomir Ceramica Black Dial Matte Ceramic Men’s Watch retails for $8,300. However, you can purchase this luxury watch for a quarter off of this retail price.
