The Omega watch company has been famous worldwide, having been on the wrists of Royalty, celebrities, and the likes of James Bond. Founded in Switzerland in 1848 by Louis Brandt, the forerunner to Omega was La Generale Watch Co. However, for the last 168 years, Omega has stunned the world with their consistently luxurious and impressive line of fine timepieces.
The Omega brand has a special relationship with the ocean, best seen in the Seamaster models. These luxury timepieces may be expensive, but their worth as bona fide workhorses in the water make them perfect for scuba diving, swimming, and other sports. The high quality materials ensure their durability and reliability even in rugged situations.

The case diameter of the Omega Men’s Seamaster Analog Display Automatic Self Wind Silver-Tone Watch (O21230412003001) is the perfect size, at 41mm. While the end of standard men’s range is 38mm, as a Seamaster that is intended to be used in water, the slightly larger size is perfect for a man’s wrist when scuba diving. However, this timepiece is also perfect as a dress watch or a casual luxury watch, due to the stunning and shining design.
The numbers on the unidirectional Stainless Steel bezel are etched in with a sophisticated finish. The bezel is perfectly complementary to this timepiece, featuring a blue, ceramic finish that contrasts against the dark blue dial face quite well.

The Omega Men’s Seamaster Silver Tone Watch uses a Swiss Automatic self wind movement.
While the 41mm case and linked bracelet are made of quality Stainless Steel, the watch is silver-tone in nature and is a shining beacon of class and sophistication. This Seamaster is meant to be used out at sea, on dress occasions, and to impress as a casual watch. This Omega does all of these well and in spades.
The water resistance is quite a wonderful feature in this model, with water resistance up to 300 meters (or 984 feet). This is suitable for swimming and scuba diving.
The dark blue watch face and blue ceramic bezel perfectly complement each other, while the silver-tone Stainless Steel case and bracelet offer a smooth finish to the design.
Rather than traditional hour hands, there are stick and dot markers in the hour positions, which are also luminous when it gets dark.
The Omega Seamaster has a beautiful design, with wide skeletonized dial hands, dot and dash hour indices, a dark blue dial, beautiful Stainless Steel case and bracelet, and a unidirectional blue ceramic bezel with fine etching, which really sets this timepiece apart from other luxury designs.
This Omega watch does well in keeping the best of luxury watch crafting in Switzerland.
There are no negative aspects to this timepiece that are worth calling bad.
That being said, it is surprising that Omega chose to use a synthetic Sapphire dial window in, rather than the anti-glare, anti-reflective genuine Sapphire they placed in the black dial counterpart to this timepiece — the Omega Men’s Black Dial Seamaster, which is similar in cost.
While often mistaken for having a Stainless Steel bezel, this Omega actually features a luxury ceramic bezel with etched Arabic numerals and indices. This sets this Seamaster apart, from, say the Omega Men’s Black Dial Seamaster, which includes a metallic, grey-like Stainless Steel design.
The Automatic self-wind movement is to be expected in a timepiece of this caliber, however, it is still a wonderful inclusion. This movement runs like honey and will function with excellence for years to come.
The famous Omega Seamaster logo of the Seahorse is embossed on the back of the clasp and case as a reminder that this timepiece is a part of the long history of this luxury line.
This Omega Men’s Seamaster Automatic Self-Wind Silver-Tone Watch can be purchased on Amazon.com for around $2,989.00. This is quite a deal for this incredibly solid and well-made luxury timepiece.
The overall impression of this Omega Seamaster is that it was designed with the luxurious man in mind. The pure quality of the materials as well as the world class design is a testament to the respect earned by the Omega name.
This timepiece has no major faults to be had. The function is impeccable, the design is flawless, and price is reflective of this amazing men’s Seamaster by Omega.
