Meryl Davis Is Engaged to Longtime Boyfriend Fedor Andreev

They’re getting married! Dancing With the Stars champ Meryl Davis is engaged to Fedor Andreev, a former figure skater (who also happens to be the son of her longtime coach, Marina Zoueva). She announced the engagement by showing off her serious ice—a stunning square-cut canary-yellow diamond—in a new Instagram photo.

She simply captioned the sweet flick with the day Andreev popped the question: “7/13/17.”

This is just another big move for the couple. Earlier this year, the duo, who’ve been together for about six years, announced a new addition to their home: a dog! Davis and Andreev are now proud owners of a mini sheepadoodle named Bilbo Baggins. (She’s even the star of her own Instagram account! Take a look at Baggins’ feed. She’s the cutest!)

Looking back, Davis took home the gold with partner Charlie White during the 2014 Olympics, in addition to scoring the mirror-ball trophy on season 18 of DWTS with Maksim Chmerkovskiy. (Side note: Chmerkovskiy recently got married to fellow DWTS pro Peta Murgatroyd.)

The engagement comes shortly after Davis, with partner White, announced they were going to take a break from the Olympics to focus more on their personal life. “We’ve been saying that it’s bittersweet,” Davis previously revealed to Us Weekly. “It’s of course sad to not take that opportunity to go to the Olympic games and represent our country as athletes.”

“We’ve given ourselves three years to make the decision. We’ve constantly been going back to that ‘What is it going to take? Do we have it? Do we have the motivation?’ And ultimately I think we could do it—we recognize that the potential is there—but at the same time, what we’re motivated to do is to continue finding ourselves away from the competitive area. That’s what we’re most excited about,” White explained. “So returning to the ice for competition, it wouldn’t be fair to us.”

A break from work proves to be a great time to get engaged!
