The Omega watch company has been famous worldwide, having been on the wrists of Royalty, celebrities, and the likes of James Bond. Founded in Switzerland in 1848 by Louis Brandt, the forerunner to Omega was La Generale Watch Co. However, for the last 168 years, Omega has stunned the world with their consistently luxurious and impressive line of fine timepieces.
The Omega brand has a special relationship with the ocean, best seen in the Seamaster models. These luxury timepieces may be expensive, but their worth as bona fide workhorses in the water make them perfect for scuba diving, swimming, and other sports. The high quality materials ensure their durability and reliability even in rugged situations.

The Omega Seamaster uses a high quality Automatic self-wind movement as its power source. Using kinetic energy to power this luxury timepiece, Omega even takes the guesswork out by offering a 48 hour power reserve when the watch is not being worn.
The case diameter is perfect at 41mm. While the end of standard men’s range is 38mm, as a Seamaster that is intended to be used in water, the slightly larger size is perfect for a man’s wrist when scuba diving. However, this timepiece is also perfect as a dress watch or a casual luxury watch, due to the stunning and shining design.
The Automatic self-wind movement is expected in a timepiece of this caliber, however, it is still excellent to have. In addition, the genuine anti-reflective, anti-glare, and scratch resistant Sapphire crystal is genuine and is a durable and beautiful safety window between the outside world and the black dial.
The water resistance of this Seamaster is 300 meters, or 990 feet, which is one of the best water resistant calibers you can have in any timepiece. This means it is suitable for swimming and scuba diving (it is recommended that when scuba diving, that one dives no farther than 30 meters for no longer than 2 hours for the best results and maintenance of this watch).
The etched unidirectional bezel is quite beautiful. With Arabic numerals and lined indices indicating the seconds, Omega spared no expense in making this a high quality part of the timepiece. While the case and bracelet are silvered Stainless Steel, the bezel is made to look more metallic and grey-like, which is a perfect complement to the body finish and the black dial.
While not common, some people have reported that the Stainless Steel band can be scratched. However, the bracelet is very solid, with solid links and no rattling.
While there are many highlights to this Omega model, the Automatic movement, extreme 300 meter (990 feet) water resistance, and the desgin are simply top tier.
The water resistance in this watch embodies and honors the style and function of Omega’s famous Seamaster design line.
This Omega Seamaster has a beautiful design, with wide skeletonized dial hands, dot and dash hour indices, a pitch black dial, beautiful Stainless Steel case and bracelet, and a metallic Stainless Steel bezel with fine etching that really sets this timepiece apart from other luxury designs.
The Omega Men’s Seamaster Black Dial Watch (model 188.8.131.52.01.003) can be purchased online, via Amazon.com, for only $3,050.00.
This high class, quality luxury timepiece is well worth the price. With a self-winding Automatic movement, a 300 meter (990 feet) water resistance, genuine anti-reflective Sapphire crystal, and quality Stainless Steel that shines with class, this beautifully designed Omega is a class act.
