Apple brings the heat with new summer straps for your Apple Watch

Apple has released a new range of official Apple Watch straps to pimp out your wrists during the summer months.

The Cupertino giant announced the fresh bands alongside watchOS 4 and the long-awaited launch of its Apple HomePod smart speaker at its WWDC event, providing the smartwatch with new colourful bands in the woven nylon, Nike Sport Band and leather variety.

Despite the Apple Watch Nike+ edition originally being the only way to get hold of the perforated straps, a recent change has made the bands available for all Apple Watch users. And after the company’s spring collection introduced three standard options to the mix, four new straps will now prop up the collection — coming in black/obsidian, blue/light blue, white/violet and plum/violet.

Apple’s standard sporty bands also got a refresh, with Mist Blue, Pollen (yellow), and Flamingo (peach) creations now available to switch in.

For those looking for a less sporty vibe, though, two new additions to the woven nylon selection are now available in red and pollen — a mixture of blue, yellow and green. Interestingly, Apple is also offering a Pride edition, which features a vibrant rainbow stripe.

And while there was no new additions to the stainless steel section, a new leather Sunflower yellow strap is available.

All of the new accessories are available to purchase over at Apple. The sport, woven nylon and Nike Sport Bands cost $49, while the new Classic Buckle will set you back $149.
