The Terrasport IV GMT by Mühle-Glashütte is a cool-a dual-time-zoota

German manufacturer Mühle-Glashütte writes that their new Terrasport IV GMT will let you “Fly through Time whilst Staying on Time.” I just think they should write something with a lot of umlauts and be done with it.

This new GMT watch runs a Sellita SW 330-1 movement with a few tweaks by M-G including a “woodpecker neck” regulator. This places the movement into the more rarified air of modified watches and gives it a little kick in price.

It has a 42mm brushed steel case and is water resistant to 10ATM. It comes on a leather strap or steel bracelet, the latter adding about $200 to the price.

Quoth M-G:

It costs a mere $2,200 which is pretty nice for a complicated, nicely assembled piece that looks quite cool. It hearkens back to the IWC Bit Pilot and other famous Pilot watches – I’m still a big fan of this sassy boy – and at that price for a GMT you can’t really go wrong whilst flying through time.
