Italian fine jewellery brand Chimento is sponsoring the Independent Fine Jewellery Retailer of the Year category at the Professional Jeweller Awards.
The Awards will honour the achievement of the jewellery industry on Monday, September 4, at Kensington Roof Gardens – London’s most spectacular venue.
Chimento, which has been shortlisted for the Fine Jewellery Brand of the Year accolade at the Professional Jeweller Awards, has joined the sponsorship line-up to show its support to independent fine jewellery retailers.
“We would like to support the Independent Fine Jewellery Retailer of the Year category because the independents are the ones who have put their trust in us over the last two years for the re-launch and the development of Chimento in UK,” says the brand’s sales director, Michele Battaglioli.
He continues: “Chimento is a family run business from 1965 and we recognise the same values and business ethic in independents. The commitment to territory, how they take care of their personnel, their view of business which is not only profit are common elements to our vision and strategy.”
Chimento joins MelanO, who is sponsoring the Designer-Maker Jewellery Boutique of the Year category, and some sponsors which will be unveiled over the coming weeks.
The Professional Jeweller Awards has been designed so that all jewellery professionals have the chance to influence which brands and retailers win the ultimate industry accolade based on their achievements in the market during the past 12 months.
The poll has only been open for two weeks, but it’s already clear that the outcome of the 16 categories is going to be a closely- fought contest as members of the industry flock to vote for the market’s top brands and retailers.

All votes will be counted and verified before the winners are announced at an awards ceremony at the spectacular Kensington Roof Gardens on Monday, September 4.
