Drakes Jewellers has announced it is to start offering bespoke jewellery design following the launch of its in-house workshop earlier this year – Drakes Jewellery Hospital.

The jeweller’s new service will be offered courtesy of experienced jewellery designer and goldsmith, Robert Robins who has 15 years experience in the field.

Drake’s workshop already offers a personal repair service which includes ring resizing, watch repairs, rhodium re-coating, redesigning and much more.

“I am excited to be joining the Drakes Jewellery Hospital. It is a fantastic opportunity to be part of this new and exciting venture for Drakes. Sitting down with a customer and working with them to design a piece of jewellery and utilising their ideas is something I really enjoy,” said Robins of his appointment.

Andrew Hirshman, director of Drakes commented: “We are absolutely delighted to have Robert Robins heading up the Drakes Jewellery Hospital. We are continuously striving to offer our customers more and what better way than to offer them the chance to be involved in the design of their very own piece of jewellery. We are looking forward to the future of Drakes Jewellery Hospital.”

Together with competitive pricing, the Drakes Jewellery Hospital aims to deliver exceptional turnaround times for its customers, including a 48 hour A&E service for many of the repairs.
