Judging by the Summer 2014 Jewelry trends on the Milan Fashion Week catwalks, sobriety is the theme of season, but a few extravagant jewels have brought me up short and left me with my jaw hanging. If it’s no frills, architectural elegance you’re after, then look no further than Gianfranco Ferré’s polished golden or silver plated high manchette.

Meanwhile Dolce & Gabbana’s Grand Tour of Italian wonders continues through neoclassical icon prints and head-turning statement hoop and chandelier earrings. I can’t wait to get my hands on the chunky gold maxi coin long necklaces that create the perfect picture frame for the Greek influence on Sicily.

Delfina Delettrez’s signature style is all over the furry, double finger rings she has created for Fendi, cleverly adhering to the edginess we have come to associate with the brand.

Moschino should not be overlooked, their pieces have an historic reference with cheeky twist which I have grown to love over the years.

And if I had to choose a favourite…. it would be their croissant necklace!
