Historic London jeweller Asprey has set aside part of its flagship store on New Bond Street to welcome Swiss watchmaker Bovet, sealing a partnership between two houses renowned for their impeccable credentials and shared appreciation of luxury.
Bovet is famous throughout the world of watchmaking for creating watches of exceptional mechanical prowess and with refined aesthetics. No newcomer to the metropolis, the original Bovet brothers left Switzerland in 1814 to set up shop in London, one of Europe’s leading watchmaking cities and a major trading centre for clocks and watches.
Registered in the British capital as Bovet House in 1822, two centuries later Bovet is back in London on the premises of Asprey’s flagship store, which is spread across five Georgian townhouses on New Bond Street.
Bovet collectors will now have access to the Swiss manufacturer’s most exclusive timepieces and be able to admire the exceptional hand finishes and decorations of every component of the movement. Bovet watch dials are miniature works of art, with intricate enamelling, gem setting, lacquering and the hallmark Fleurisanne hand engravings for which the company has earned a reputation.
In pride of place is the Amadeo Fleurier Tourbillon Virtuoso III, Bovet’s tour de force grande complication with a name to match that combines a five-day tourbillon with a retrograde perpetual calendar. Housed in a 46mm red or white gold Amadeo convertible case, this incredible watch doubles up as a wristwatch, a pocket watch and a table clock.

Bovet’s limited-edition Pininfarina Sergio Split-Second Chronograph watch features a small second subdial, 30-minute counter and power-reserve indicator as well as push-pieces positioned on both sides of the watch crown to ensure precision timing.
