This Omega Seamaster uses a self winding Automatic chronometer with a co-axial escapement as its power source. Using an Omega caliber 8601, this timepiece will continue ticking for years to come with the same precision as when it was new.
The Good
There are a ton of positive aspects to this elegant Omega Seamaster. With its Automatic, hand-wound movement and chronometer feature, timekeeping has never been more accurate.
This Swiss made luxury watch features a beautiful domed, scratch resistant, anti reflective Sapphire crystal that truly makes this dial face shine. This beautiful transparency travels around to the Exhibition back casing, which is transparent, allowing the wearer to see the inner workings of this fine timepiece.
The 43mm case, silver-tone applied indexes, and silver-tone hands matches for a two-tone look of silver and blue. This perfectly reflects everything the Seamaster model series is about. With a month and date window at the 3 o’clock position as well as triangular indexes as hour markers, this dial is simple but stunning. The indexes and dial hands are all luminous and silver-tone, which matches the steel construction of the case well.
As a part of the extremely popular Seamaster line, this Aqua Terra has a water resistance of 150 meters (which is 500 feet or 15 ATM), which makes it great for your next yacht party, casual time on your boat, snorkeling, or swimming.
The Bad
For a price of over 5K, one would expect their timepiece to be made of something other than stainless steel; however, this is not a deal breaker in terms of purchasing this excellent timepiece. The solid steel construction with the transparent skeleton case back is of great quality.
The Highlights
The real highlight of this Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra is the dial and strap color design. The 43mm steel case is home to a vertically textured blue shining dial. Paired with a blue, genuine leather strap with a crocodile pattern, the two-tone beauty and luxury of this Omega timepiece cannot be overstated.
