Golden Globes 2016: Coloured jewels shine

Coloured jewels Golden GlobesJewels go pop at Golden Globes: Olivia Wilde in vintage Bulgari collar; Jaimie Alexander in Lorraine Schwartz emerald studs; Taraji Henson in Kimberly McDonald; Bryce Dallas Howard in Irene Neuwirth

Like taking the baubles and tinsel off the Christmas tree, January also means putting away our party jewels… But feat not, for awards season is upon us once again! And so, avoiding total jewellery cold turkey, it’s time to fawn over the jewelled creations strutted up and down the red carpet, kicking off with last night’s Golden Globes.

Orange, pink and green gems (emeralds, to be precise) were the stars of the show, while fierce diamond collars encircled the neck, as Jennifer Lawrence and Emily Rossum demonstrated beautifully. A blooming collar of golden leaves was donned by fashion royalty Olivia Palermo, proving once again that yellow gold is hot property.

But enough with the words. Adorn rounds up a visual feast of our favourite jewellery from the Golden Globes, with applause for Jennifer Lopez in 200 carats of Harry Winston diamonds and Jaimie Alexander for going green in Lorraine Schwartz and inducing major jewel envy.
