Based in London, Frieda has jewellery making in the blood. Both her grandfather and father worked alongside Steinmetz Diamonds – one of the world’s leading suppliers of diamonds – for many years, which saw Frieda surrounded by gemstones from a very young age. It led her to pursue a degree in gemmology from the GIA in Israel, where she earned the official title of specialised diamond grader, after which she set up NOA Fine Jewellery.
Frieda named her inaugural range of jewels Modern Classics, but since then her collections have grown to include Noa Rosé, Noa Rocks, Noa Ice and Noa Rainbow, which range from the fun and fashionable to the truly exquisite. When it comes to engagement rings, however, Frieda offers a more personalised approach. Some customers have asked her to recreate one of her original designs, while others are invited to visit Frieda Kaplan Gross in central London on a bespoke basis to discuss ideas, designs and gemstones.
