Harry Winston and the bridal Belle

Harry Winston’s new Belle collection of diamond bridal jewels links back to the history of this house that is associated with all things American and the heady days of New York’s rise to international power. The Belle collection of jewels takes its name from one Arabella ‘Belle’ Huntington, the estate of whom in 1926 Mr Harry Winston himself purchased for a mighty $1.2million. The incredible array of exceptional pearls and diamonds in the estate of this railway baron heiress, were some of the key purchases that made the Winston name. As with other acquisitions of the time, he would eventually refashion them into more contemporary designs for the buyers of the roaring twenties and beyond.

Embodying the diamond-driven philosophy of those days and the spirit of Arabella Huntington, the Belle bridal collection whisks us back to heady days of the roaring twenties with bold geometric bezels hand-set with diamond micropave, all surrounding dazzling centre stones, which are D-E-F in colour, and VS2 or higher in clarity. The quality of the stones is as one would expect of Harry Winston: top, top, top.

The Harry Winston style is evident throughout and effortlessly so with an emphasis on strong settings with kerpow diamonds worthy of any heiress and her future estate. Each setting has been hand-constructed from platinum with a minimal amount of metal in order to further emphasise the stones. The collection starts at $5,800 with the engagement rings priced from $14,000.
