Gemfields creates a bracelet for 100 good causes

By Rachel Garrahan in New York

Gemfields and its brand ambassador, Mila Kunis, have teamed up with activist designer, Mary Fisher, to create the Gemfields 100 Good Deeds bracelet, a very special piece of jewelry that will help vulnerable women and children around the world.

Amid all the shopping and partying at this time of year, it is easy to forget that the true holiday spirit is about giving. This project allows you to share a beautiful gift, made by at-risk Zambian women with the company’s locally mined amethysts, in the knowledge that you are also helping those less fortunate, and even inspiring positive behavior in the recipient.

“The motivation behind the 100 Good Deeds collection is to inspire simple acts of kindness around the world,” said Mary Fisher, the founder of the 100 Good Deeds Project. “Each bracelet is a reminder to spread positive change through action and fulfill our mission to Do Good, One Deed, One Bead, One Act of Kindness at a Time.”

Mila Kunis, herself a new mother, was inspired to take part after meeting Mary, who has been an inspiration to many people around the world. Mary has lived with HIV for more than two decades and has made it her mission to empower women and do what she can to help others living with the disease. The actress appears in a video interview with Mary to raise awareness of the project.

The Gemfields 100 Good Deeds bracelet is now available for purchase at 100 Good Deeds. One hundred percent of proceeds from sales of the $475 bracelet will be donated to the Abataka Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides economic and educational opportunities otherwise unavailable to women and girls across the globe.
