Valentine’s Jewellery

Full collection top image

An annual event in the jewellery calendar, Valentine’s Day brings a gamut of vibrant red gemstones, adorable heart motifs and the buzz of will-he-won’t-he questioning among women.

Challenged with picking my favourite Valentine’s jewellery pieces, I’m boycotting the cute and clichéd and instead coveting the designers turning traditional ‘V-Day’ motifs into off-beat and quirky jewels.

Solange Heart Od Darkness pendant

There isn’t a single piece by Solange Azagury-Partridge that doesn’t make me swoon, but when it came to Solange’s Anatomical Heart pendant it was love at first sight. It’s an unconventional and somewhat literal interpretation of heart jewellery, but the perfect gift for the girl that doesn’t do cute but deserves a meaningful token of love.

Repossi Antifier ring

At the other end of the spectrum, Repossi’s take on romantic jewellery is a little more in line with the traditional, but let’s just take a second to lust over the gorgeous colour of its Fuchsia collection. Ever since its launch, this collection has had me gazing doe-eyed at the twinkling diamonds and shocking pink hue. What better a time to admire its vibrant Antifer ring in my Valentine’s lust list?

Finn Jewelry Hearts & Arrows Earrings

Finn Jewelry is a brand that’s just landed on my radar and I’m seriously in love! Although dainty in size, its Hearts & Arrows earrings really pack a punch. I adore the somewhat sinister ruby drop that evokes crimes of passion. Better still, these tough-luxe trinkets are utterly on-trend for SS16 with their mismatched design.

Raphaelle Canot OMG! Bracelet

On a bolder note, Raphaele Canot’s Oh My God bangle is a sassy (better, slightly provocative) take on the sexy red pout, with rows of scintillating pavé diamonds contrasted by bright red enamel. Wrap your beloved in a scarlet kiss, with this whimsical piece.

Shourouk Athna love bracelet

Last but not least, Shourouk’s latest collection of beaded Athna Love Bracelets instantly captured my heart – reminding me of those colourful woven friendship bracelets from our childhoods. I’d love to gift these to all my girlfriends, but wouldn’t say no to one myself… Hint, hint.
