A cute and creative way to ask your friends to be your bridesmaids

UPDATE: We have our winners! Scroll to the bottom of this post to find out if you won!

Nowadays, the ways in which a bride can ask her best girlfriends to be her bridesmaids are endless. Just a decade ago, most brides-to-be would simply have her friends for lunch and pop the question. But within the last few years, brides have been getting more and more creative and personal with this big step in the wedding planning process (and we have no doubt that it is probably all thanks to Pinterest!). After all, your bridesmaids are the ones who stand by your side to witness you and the love of your life say, “I do.” From pretty, personalized jewelry to custom curated gift boxes, what bridesmaid wouldn’t love to receive a handmade, heartfelt gift?

How to use Fujifilm to pop the question to your bridesmaids

Speaking of custom curated boxes, all of us on Team LC recently got together to create a lovely little bridesmaid gift box that any of our bride-to-be readers can use as inspiration when asking her ‘maids. In our opinion, it’s all about how you personalize each box that makes it so special—which is why we used our favorite FUJIFILM Instax 70 Mini instant film camera and FUJIFILM Instax SHARE SP-2 Smartphone printer to print photos that gave this gift the perfect touch. We conducted our own little photoshoot and used our Instax printer to make a customized card for the bride to give to her ‘maid (more details on this process below!). Then, with a pale pink nail polish here and a bottle of champagne there, our gift box was ready to go. Keep scrolling and follow our lead as we show you how to put together a cute and creative bridesmaid gift box with FUJIFILM in just a few easy steps…

The first thing you will want to get if you’re putting together a bridesmaids box is the box itself. We opted for a rustic wood box, but you can find white or neutral colored boxes at your local craft store. Our next step? Taking the “Will you be my bridesmaid?” photos…

The cutest way to ask your friends to be your bridesmaids

We were so pleased with how these photos turned out! We simply handwrote each word of the phrase ‘Will you be my bridesmaid?’ on pieces of cardstock, and took photos with our FUJIFILM Instax Mini 70 instant film camera. This camera is so easy to use and it produces sharp, beautiful images that can be shared instantly. Just load in the film, turn on the camera and use the front button to take a photo (there’s even a mirror on the front for taking selfies!). In about 60 seconds you’ll have yourself a beautiful photo that develops instantly right in front of you. We used ours to take photos to add to our bridesmaid box, but they’re perfect for creating unique keepsakes, books, décor and more. In fact, we loved our FUJIFILM Instax Mini 70 instant film camera so much that we thought it would be fun to include one in the bridesmaid box. That way, the lucky lady who receives it can document every event leading up to the wedding and share photos along the way.

Little bridesmaids box

We added some of our favorite things to the rest of the box: a hot pink mini bottle of champagne, a bottle of pale pink nail polish, some dainty rings, sour gummy candy, and FUJIFILM Instax Mini instant film for the camera, of course. Talk about a box full of goodies. What bridesmaid wouldn’t love to receive this special gift?

And, did we mention that these cameras and printers are super cute? The Instax Mini 70 instant camera comes in six cool colors, including Moon White, Canary Yellow, Stardust Gold, Passion Red, Island Blue and Midnight Black. And the SP-2 Smartphone printer comes in silver and gold. We were obviously smitten with the rose gold hues of the Stardust Gold camera, so we had to include it in our box!

Lastly, a bridesmaid box isn’t complete without a personalized card from the bride asking her girlfriend to be a part of her big day. Instead of going the store-bought route, we wanted to make a handmade card for the occasion.

So we brought out our FUJIFILM Instax SHARE SP-2 Smartphone printer which let us print photos straight from our iPhone on Instax mini prints. This is a great tool for a bride to have on hand because she can go through all the archives of photos with her besties on her iPhone and instantly print the photos she wants to include, simply by downloading the free Instax SHARE app and tapping print. We used washi tape to secure the Instax photo to the front of a plain greeting card, and don’t forget to write a special message inside to your ‘maid.
